Into the Majestic Fantasy Realms: The Northern Marches by Robert Conley, the spiritual successor to the Wilderlands of High Fantasy, is now available from DriveThruRPG.

It is a sandbox fantasy setting perfect for hexcrawl games, with numerous settlements, factions, bespoke encounter tables, and plenty of space to insert own adventures, locales, and flair.

Important notice: while both book and associated maps are available as POD from DriveThruRPG, the latter are usually too expensive for non-USA customers. That is because DTRPG prints maps in the USA, which results with high shipping and taxes, for a high final price despite low per-unit cost. Rob has made the print-ready map files available so everyone can take them to their local print shop and get the maps done in any size they want for a low price.

Crowdfunding campaign will include:

• Setting guidebook
• 5 Judge maps (12” by 18”)
• 5 Player maps (12” by 18”)

Rob will be releasing the whole setting under Creative Commons so anyone can adapt, modify, and contribute to their desire.

I am halfway through the first draft of my upcoming project, Into the Majestic Fantasy Realms, the Northern Marches.

It will be divided into two sections. The first half focuses on the Northern Marches, which combines and expands Blackmarsh, Southland, and the Wild North into four 12” by 18” maps. ... The second half provides a brief overview of the larger Majestic Fantasy Realms. It will be formatted like the old Greyhawk Folio booklet and detail some history, important terrain, and various regions. ... The Kickstarter to fund editing and the art pieces is slated to begin late April. I hope to see many of you there. In the meantime, I will post various excerpts over the upcoming weeks to help folks to better understand the final product.

By next year I will be releasing stuff for the Majestic Fantasy Realms which is formatted similarly to how Blackmarsh is set up. Except it will be four 12” by 18” maps. There will be some city/town maps included but nothing like the original CSIO. For that I have a long term plan for what I call the City State of Eastgate. Basically picking up from where I left off in 2009...

It should come to Kickstarter next year, so keep your eyes open.
